Well i finally did it.. i broke my root filesystem...

fsck /dev/hdd5 <-- fails
fsck -b 8136 (i think) /dev/hdd5 <-- also fails

fdisk /dev/hdd <-- knows it is ext2

i don't really wanna format as everything was all setup nicely...

any ideas anyone.... in the mean time i am stuck in windoze !!
