[LUG] annoying kde intro

My wife uses linux[1] and KDE[2]. There is this really annoying "tune"
that plays when it loads up. We both agre it's annoying and wish it
would go away.

I've tried finding resources, config files, config GUIs and I can't
make it stop.

Any advice?
