I am interested in this problem too. I was thinking to buy a DVD drive so I
could read PCFormat DVD discs and then realised I would also need a CD
writer so am now thinking about a DVD CDRW combi. Scanning news groups
revealed people are having difficulties interfacing some these devices. Any
success stories?

I teach at St Austell college so count me in  for cheap beer - especially if
it's from Sharp's brewery !
