I've got a vaio fx101

No major problems and I've installed redhat 7.2 7.3
8.0 and mandrake 9.0 (at various times) and I've also
used Knoppix on it - but they don't like debian
because of the i815 graphics card chip set.

No problem

The only tricky thing with my vaio is the winmodem but
the conexant drivers are fine once you've downloaded
and installed them.
