RE: [LUG] Red Hat 7.1




It looks pretty good, I spent all day downloading the ISOs yesterday and
installed it last night.

kernel 2.4.2, kde 2 etc.

I was *very* impressed that the installer recognised my second cd rom as a
burner and added hdd="ide-scsi" to the kernel parameters automagically!.

The kdm that comes with kde2 looks very nice too.  it reads your lilo
configuration and when you choose reboot you can also choose what os to boot
into!.

I'm very impressed with it so far.  Much better than 7.0 imo.

If anyone wants I'll run of some copies and bring them LDE for a couple of
quid.
