[LUG] VMware.

It's official (according to me anyway). VMware is undeniably cool.

I'm running RH7 in a VM on my NT box here at work.

I initially installed Linux on it normally (a la NT loader dual boot), but
the inability to pick up my mail (exchange/outlook) was somewhat
prohibitive.

It runs remarkably well, gimp, mozilla, window maker et al. I've allocated
it 64meg of memory and about 4 gig of disk space and its very happy.

Remarkably setting up X is a breeze. It will dummy /dev/fd0 so that you can
access VMtools for Linux, which contains a perl script that identify your
distro and sets it up for you. No questions asked.

I've decreased the res to 800x600 so I can see my entire desktop in a window
(cool!).

Very, very impressive.

Alex.
