Definately.I mean, didn't Sasser shutdown life support equippment
throughout
Hospitals in the United States?

On a slightly differerent tack the one that makes me suspicious is the
coverup in the US airports when MSBlast hit. A friend of mine sent me the
url of a website showing the status of US Airports. You could watch (almost
in realtime) as each one closed down due to "updates in airport management
software". In other words "5H1T we'd better apply that patch now!"
Aircraft en route were being diverted because (presumably) some blindingly
stupid executive thought it would be a good idea to trust passenger safety
and mission critical applications to an Operatng System I wouldn't trust to
open my curtains in the morning! My initial thought was "Please God don't
tell me I am trusting my life as an airline passenger to Bill Gates!!" One
BSOD and you'll have a large dent where the aircraft used to be. I can hear
the Microsoft response now:

"Try landing another aircraft and see if the same thing happens."

hmmmmmm......
