[LUG] User limits

Hi all. I am new to the group/list. Based in Bridgwater, Somerset.

I have inherited a box running Red hat. It has a user account on it that is
used for backing up from a remote site with ftp. Any idea why when it has a
certain number/size of files on it. It then refuses to allow any more?
It does not, as far as I know run user quota s/w on it.
