I dont think we should be too concerned over a particular brand of linux. We use both Suse and Red Hat and both are good. I see the main focus as a linux desktop which is stable and delivers what the customer wants.

Red Hat are still AFAIK consciously aimed at the server, although their
recent desktop work suggests that isn't going to persist.
Lindows et al are clearly aimed...

IBM and HP took part in last week's OSHCA conference ( www.oshca.org ) (I
don't know if I could cope with more than a week of monotonously blue and
sunny warm weather in November) and were interesting, but both currently have
a clear policy of Windows use on company laptops. However, that too may
change.

I think I'd stay generic in the approach, but I do think it is worth raising
profile on support around D&C - gently.
