Re: [LUG] quick question: wiping a disk

Hi,

Anyone remember the command to wipe a disk? I'm sure it was mentioned on
this list a while ago but I can't remember what it was. I've looked through
/sbin and /usr/sbin, and checked the archives (for 'wiping a disk') but
can't see anything familiar.

Hmm, should calrify that I think the command had different levels of writing
data onto a disk, and hence basically wiping it.

Creating one big partition on the disk and dd-ing /dev/random to it might
do the job :)

Alex.
