[LUG] joystick on suse 8

thanks to various lug members I now have suse installed again. I have a
creative awe64 isa card which seems to have been detected & setup during
install in that all the modules for sound are sound blaster drivers.
Can't get the joystick working though.
If I attemp to add a card through yast and enable joystick support then yast
reports an error loading the SB modules and won't set up so perhaps there is
another way.
I didn't get this with 7.2 but of course that didn't have an tick box to set
up the joystick either.
