Young Rewired State
Young Rewired State is an independent global network of kids aged 18 and under who have taught themselves to program computers. We introduce these children to like-minded peers at events around the world where they use freely available open data to make websites, apps and algorithms to solve real world challenges.

I want to get some YRS hyperlocal events down here too, these are an extension of the above.

This year, we’re so excited to be taking Young Rewired State one step further. We no longer just want to see our beautiful community of coders once a year. Oh no! It’s reached the point now where we just miss you too much, and think your potential deserves to be championed throughout the year.
The prototypes and projects you create at the Festival of Code are too good to leave on a dusty digital shelf. We realised it was about time we helped our community go one step further and realise the true and immense potential of what they are creating, and see where it could take them.

A website for this with forum and resources will be launching in October.
YRS Hyperlocal launches later this month. I trying to expand the net for the Torbay Pi jams, So am happy for young coders in the area who are on YRS / YRS Hyperlocal to use the Pi jams as a meeting point Hopefully we can gert actual work shops in Torbay, If not then perhaps as a group, a way can be found to help you get to workshops else where, Plymouth or maybe Exeter if something can be set up there.
Importantly lots of young people = voice for the area = people listen = events come down here.
