Many thanks for the helpful words and Noddy Guide - just what was needed.
I'll put the £30 back in my piggy-bank (less cost of an additional NIC),
play around with with my spare IPcop box and wait for the big day.


Better idea... use the ADSL modem you have on eth on the IPCop (v1.4 is out 
now in case you don't kow) that way the IPCop will continue to act as router, 
and firewall. You could lash out on a n other device, but you have the 
technology already there...
