So,why don't they say that in the news group mailings list?

Yes, it is. Sort of. As far as I can tell, Mandrake have taken the
decision to release their final Release Candidate as a "community edition"
and many of the bugs in 10.1ce will be resolved for 10.1final. It will be
a couple of months (at least) until 10.1final is available for download
from Mandrake. Obviously, if you subscribe to their MandrakeClub you can
get ISOs for 10.1final before they're released to the general public, but
you can also do that by buying it!

It's not quite "cooker", but it certainly isn't a final release version. A
long way from RH/Fedora's release structure though.

Grant.

Hi all,

Sorry quick question. Am I right in thinking this is a Beta version, as
that's what isolinux.org have for download? If it is, will the closed
source modules provided by Nvidia work with it? I recall coming to grief
with Mandrake 9.1 RC1 which refused to play nicely.

Kind regards,

Julian
