[LUG] X server resets

Not sure what I have done to my set up,  I keep getting the X server resetting 
as if I have pressed ctrl -alt backspace, even though I am sure that I have 
not done this,

Just been running kopete and chatting to another user, while at the same time 
in a console window moving files from my windows partition to the linux 
partition,  I know that I have httpd running as I am testing web pages and 
have sql running, (i think) as I can run phpmyadmin,  

any suggestions as to where I should look

running suse 9 on a duron 1600, 256mb memory and adsl internet connection,
