Re: [LUG] telnet xp to linux

I use PuTTY on my Windows XP workstation to access various machines running telnetd
or sshd, works rather well for me but YMMV.

Hi,

My office is moving over from multi-session telnet terminals into
a unix server to thin-clients running on xp pro.

I used to use one of the sessions to telnet into a SuSE 8.2
laptop, purely for the purpose of running emacs in text mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to do this
from xp? telnetting from an xp command prompt doesn't result in
a useable display, using windows hyperterminal is not much
better.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

TIA

Francesco
