Hi Lee, I've previously had a WinTV and loved it (not sure WHY I went the integrated card route this time :/). Anyway, my Mobo is an MSI Nvidia2 board. For the graphics card, would you suggest an MSI card or Nvidia for greater compatibility? Looking at your previous mail I'd guess not the Nvidia? I know Nvidia's Unified Driver is supposed to work for everything. How easy is that for a newbie to work with? I'm looking at the 5600 range of card.. seems a good balance between performance and price. I'd like one without TV though as I'll be getting the WinTV for that function. I've got a Radeon All In Wonder that is driving me hairless. Damn thing refuses to behave as a TV card and I'm a newbie (ish) so the instructions at http://www.reades.com/radeon.html scared the (does this list kick swearing? ;)) out of me! Any suggestions for a TV card that does work under Linux? esp Mandrake

Thanks, Julian
I be mostly be watching TV with a Hauppauge WinTV express, the WinTV cards by Hauppauge are well supported in most distros due to the use of the Brooktree Bt848 chipset. Worked out of the box in Sooze 8.2/9.0 and Fed Core1.
