phpinfo():

is the favoutite simple test page.
I have been where you are and cannot immediately recall the solution. you
could chmod 777 the file to see if it is file permissions.
Otherwise I would recommend a careful reading of httpd.conf

HTH, if not post again

Chris

Subject: [LUG] PHP AND APACHE 1.3

       Hi

I have just set up apache and php on my laptopm and editied my httpd.conf
file
according to instructions in my book, I even told it to include .html as
part of the files it can parse, (as this was not set by default),
(application section of httpd.conf

If I create a very simple page, i.e call up phpinfo nothing happens, it just
seems to ignore the section of php code in my html page, which has sections
of php code.

Do the files need any special permissions, they don't seem executable. I
have
also tried various methods of calling up the script including <script
language="php" </script> as this is mentioned in the book.

Can anyone help.

I can give more information

Paul
