Almost as long as an emacs command ;)

Having been using really upto date versions of vim recently, with
sensible defaults, it is remembering all sorts of handy things between
sessions, and unlike most such schemes seems to get it right almost all
of the time. Not to mention that glorious syntax highlighting, although
Postgres's SQL extras seem to defeat it in places.

Finally discovered that "%" bracket bouncing feature is for Perl coding,
I'm sure it is the only language I've used that can get to the end of a
500 line file and suddenly think "ah damn he hasn't closed an open
bracket", without even a hint as to where in the preceeding 500 lines
the bracket is missing. Maybe 500 lines is a bit much for one file, but
I like self contained, I'll head for code reuse and lots of modularity
once I get the hang of writing Perl respectable enough to reuse.
