Tried that already, sorry!

I got a bit further by adding the packages that were "not going to be 
installed" to the list of packages to install, like this:

apt-get install kdelibs3 kdelibs3-bin libqt2 libmng1 liblcms

I've managed to install kdebase and the above packages, but when I come 
to install the other KDE packages, I just get a huge long list of unmet 
dependencies.  I though the whole idea was that it would go and 
automagically satisfy all of these dependencies, why is it not playing ball?
