Nah, doing it different for the sake of it, and then documenting it for
all the people who can't figure out why you did it different is silly.

Possibly, Debian's isn't bad though, just most is tucked away.

I think we want to create a market in support, so why not buy support
for Debian? Much more level playing field.

Heck some of SuSE is proprietary so you can't even get proper support
from other vendors for those bits.

If we end up with diverse distros doing lots of things in weird and
unnecessariy different ways, people won't be able to leverage some of
the key benefits, it'll just go the way of Unix.

If someone just can't face computing without a big corporation behind
their distro, I'll be recommending Redhat (or maybe a derivative).
