I'm trying to upgrade KDE 2.2 on my 'testing' Debian laptop to KDE3. I put the following in my sources.list, as seemed to be suggested by the KDE download page: "deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.3/Debian stable main" But apt then says: "Ign http://download.kde.org testing/main Release Err http://download.kde.org stable/main Packages 404 Not Found W: Couldn't stat source package list http://download.kde.org stable/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/download.kde.org_stable_3.1.3_Debian_dists_stable_main_binary-i386_dists_stable_main_binary-i386_Packages) - stat (2 No such file or directory)" I tried replacing "stable" with "testing" but to no avail. I've also tried using various unofficial-looking download sources but with similar problems. I'm surprised KDE3 hasn't made it into the 'testing' version yet, as it's been in Mandrake for several releases now. I'm also suprised I can't just "apt-get install kde3". I'm a bit disappointed because I had access to a broadband connection yesterday and it'll take ages to download over a modem :-( Any ideas?
