[LUG] NFS/portmapper....

After extensive hair pulling and research i have come across a problem
that i can't work out how to get around...

I am trying to make a diskless workstation (why the hell not eh ?) I
have the target system booting to a point where i get a shell prompt
(yay)

What I want to do if mount, via nfs, a shared partition on an nfs
server.

I have run portmap (from /sbin) and trying to run the following
command;

  mount -t nfs 192.168.0.1:/target /newroot

I am getting the following error.

  RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to send

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this ? once I have mounted
the partition i only really need to run chroot and bob's my uncle (i
think/hope)

Thanks guys

Neil
