(What I need is a Failed. Sorry. The DVD from LXF35D comes with a program called jigdo which doesn't work when given the commands in the mag. It complains about not being installed. (Meant to work for those who don't have Linux!). So I install it and it then complains that the checksum isn't correct but allows override. Even after using the override, it fails. The DVD also has Mandrake's own MakeCD script but what you have to remember here is NOT to mount the DVD normally, but use mount /mnt/cdrom -o exec - I kept getting Permission denied, even as root. So I remounted the drive and MakeCD made 3 CD iso's - 2,3+4 it's just a pity that none of those are any use without 1. (Error message scrolled off the screen and the history because the script didn't stop, just went on to create iso2. Duh! Even after I sorted a problem with how Mdk9 mounts CD's (http://www.dclug.org.uk/wiki/?id=tips+and+hints), jigdo still failed: Skipping object `/mnt/cdrom/mdk90' (Too many levels of symbolic links) Found 2170 of the 2170 files required by the template Error: `/mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/kdenetwork-3.0.3-15mdk.i586.rpm' does not match checksum in template data Error: `/mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/kernel-enterprise-2.4.19.16mdk-1-1mdk.i586.rpm' does not match checksum in template data jigdo-file failed with code 2 - aborting. My new ISDN connection isn't fast enough to download an entire ISO.
