best one has to be smtpsrvr.btconnect.com, breaking rfc1123 5.2.9 + 5.3.3:
(how much of a geek am i for knowing that off by heart now? ;p)

$ nc -s 10.123.123.1 smtpsrvr.btconnect.com 25
220 c2bapps6 mailer 3.1 (Solaris) of 16:32:30 Jan 15 2002. Here Pleased to
meet you (IDENT) (ESMTP) (contact: postmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx)
helo smtp.anlx.net
250 c2bapps6: smtp.anlx.net looks good to me
mail from: <>
550 Sender Not Authorised [Originator entry 'postmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx'
rejected message based on in-relay MTA 'smtp.anlx.net']

(it's the same from any host i've tried, in or out of our network).

sage's mail system was broken until i notified them last week trying to do
ESMTP over an SMTP initialised session (with a HELO, not EHLO)
