Hi Guys

I am on the lookout for a tape drive and I rang my local supplier who informed
me that whilst he can get hold of tape drives with no worry, he had a
second-hand one available. It is a HP C1521G Sure Store Tape 5000. It is an
external drive with space to store between 2/4 gig of info. However, I can
find very little info.

Does anyone out there know this drive? What is it worth? He is saying give me
a price. New it was £389 + vat but technology is so far advanced now...

Anybody got any recommendations. Bill at Ylem has suggested a Travan which I
will probably go with unless anybody thinks this HP might be a good buy. I
suppose at the end of the day, I could trial it... It needs SCSI to work.

Thanks for help and here's hoping you all have a very merry Christmas.

Rich

I know where there is an unwanted TR4 travan drive
(ide - internal) if it of any use. tapes are labeled 8Gb

I was about to put it in the skip.

is this of any use ?
