[LUG] Hi there part 2

This is a follow up to my problems with more details.

I am using Mandrake 8.2 and Mozilla. There are two users, user neil and
user pam.

In Bristol we were with ISP blueyonder (Telewest). We now live in
Holsworthy. Blueyonder is due to be switched off next week so we have
set up two new ones namely Force9 and Vispa. However we must have done
something wrong, see below, which is why we are seeking some help.

Blueyonder still works fine for us both, no problems.

Vispa was set up by user pam. Force9 was set up by user neil.

Both Vispa and Force9 work fine for user neil, no problems at all.

User pam can log in to both Vispa and Force9 and in both cases the modem
light comes on to show that it is working. User pam can also start
Mozilla with no problem (it starts with a blank page). However if she
tries to access a web site she is told that it cannot be found. (We also
have Opera set up and the same thing happens with that so I do not see
that it has anything to do with the browser.)

User pam can also not send or receive emails, presumably because the
computer cannot access the internet. Yes we do use kppp to log on.

I cannot understand why blueyonder works fine for us both while the
other two work for me only. Can anyone help or suggest where I should
look?
