hi there list,

just found an excellent book

the linux cookbook by michael stutz (linux journal press) - i got it at 
waterstones in plymouth.

did you know...

you can view image files in a text console... (zgv)
you can scroll back up in a text console...
search your command history...
change filenames to all lowercase - or uppercase...
grammar/spell check text files from the command line...
...and check that the file is readable (uses algorithms used when 
creating navy manuals and other stuff...)

as well as loads of other stuff.

i think its even converted me to emacs!!!!
