I can relate to that, being Brixham born myself, and falling into the category of a 
local man, which reqires having my "granfer in the church-yard", but BT will provide 
ADSL access to Brixham exchange if 50,000 or more express an interest, and, hey, 
what the hell, I'm only 400 metres from a Telewest connection, and they're not 
interested either.

Thank God, Newton Abbot exchange supports broadband now, and Eclipse (of Exeter, no 
relation) provides a cost effective and efficient service so far (one month and 
counting).
