Re: [LUG] PPP and modem DTR signal.

I've just set up the ppp0 scripts so that I don't use kppp anymore. The
problem is that after I do ifdown ppp0 the DTR line stays active. How do
I make sure the DTR line is dropped? It wouldn't normally be a problem
but my modem answers phone calls if the DTR is activated.

Also how do I allow users (besides root) to ifup ppp0?

Thanks

Sorry cancel the DTR thing, ifdown does disable the DTR. For some reason
it didn't the first time I tried.

Now I have another problem: After I shutdown ppp0 a few moments later
the modem connects again.
