That sort of combined announcment list would indeed make more sense to me, I'd imagine that talk of dclug events would be echoed here and on an central announce list, similarly with S[W]LUG and devon & cornwall pm and their lists/forums. Adding another list to our system is a pretty trivial excercise, although I'd prefer it to be branded with all the participants in order to not give it a dclug slant.
