Not one I've done recently but it use to be something like;

export DISPLAY=othermachine:0
export AUDIO=$DISPLAY
xapplication

I remember as HP-VUE would let you record without checking
against xhosts, so we had most of the Meteorological Office
"bugged" before HP got around to a patch.
