I think Ive got you all barking up the wrong tree ....

I just wanted to buck the system really, even if I did find out what the problem 
was, I couldn't do anything about it (I'm just a user on a UK wide company network)

I'll probably just put a list together of web addresses that I comonly use if its 
the nameserver (wherever it might be .... west drayton I think),

and if it's not the name server, I'll be happy with just being able to read emails 
while the rest of the office is locked out of the internet
