[LUG] Printer problems

Hi
       Just returned to Linux after a terrible Windows experience.

       I've tried to connect an old 9 pin impact printer to my SuSE 7.1 system.
       But the system keeps adding a file to the print queue and I get system mail
       informing me that aspfilter is unable to print job stdin.
       I seem to remember somewhere that stdin refers to standard input.
       How is this getting to the print queue and how do I fix the problem.
