Re: [LUG] Usb HDD

No, there is SCSI support in the kernel. I have 2.4.3 and Mandrake 8.0. I
alos tried to mount
yesterday on a newer computer running Mandrake 8.1. . I put in /etc/fstab
none /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs devmode=0666 0 0
/dev/sda /mnt/usb vfat
and peformed $mkdir /mnt/usb
then $mount -t vfat /dev/sda /mnt/usb
The latter causes a summary of the mount command to be output (with or
without vfat) whereas
neither line below does - but nothing gets mounted either.
$mount -t vfat /dev/sda
$mount -t /dev/sda

Can you send me your settings please?
Bob
