If you trawl through the kernel networking files (include file I think) you'll find a list of what the net-pf ones are. Likewise it is possible to find out what the char-major ones are - probably under the mknod code somewhere. Sorry, it vague, busy at the moment. Alternative, as I do, is simply put in /etc/modules.conf things like: alias net-pf-4 off It stops the messages appearing in messages (or wherever).
